The Detroit Red Wings gave a good, long look to rookie center Nate Danielson the first half of the season and have determined he needs more development time in the AHL. Danielson was assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday, after being scratched for the first time Monday in a 5-3 victory at Ottawa.

Nate Danielson, a first-round pick from 2023, had seven points in 28 games with the Detroit Red Wings. He now joins the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.
