The news comes after Heyman reported that the Yankees are looking “seriously” at Bichette as talks with outfielder Cody Bellinger drag on. Bichette, who turns 28 in March, is thought to be looking for a deal in the $300 million range.
Adding Bichette would be a great fit for a Yankees team in need of more offensive punch. After one season in the Bronx, Bellinger opted for free agency.
