The Philadelphia Phillies, frustrated in their negotiations to bring back J.T. Realmuto, are looking into the possibility of shaking up their roster.

The news comes after Heyman reported that the Yankees are looking “seriously” at Bichette as talks with outfielder Cody Bellinger drag on. Bichette, who turns 28 in March, is thought to be looking for a deal in the $300 million range.

Adding Bichette would be a great fit for a Yankees team in need of more offensive punch. After one season in the Bronx, Bellinger opted for free agency. He slashed .272/.334/.480 with 29 home runs, 98 RBIs, an OPS of .813, 4.9 fWAR, and a wRC+ of 125. He turned down a $25 million option for the 2026 season to chase more in free agency.
