Omar Speights, LB (Imhotep/Northeast) — Speights played high school ball in Philadelphia until moving to Oregon for his senior year. In the NFL after a career at Oregon State and LSU, Speights has 45 tackles in his second season with the Rams.

Several dozen players on playoff rosters, including stars like Matthew Stafford and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, played high school football in North Texas.

Jordan Gross, a 1998 graduate of Fruitland High School, has been coaching at his alma mater the past four seasons.
