Utah has signed Akron transfer cornerback Elijah Reed out of the transfer portal, adding depth to the Utes' secondary in wake of key departures through the firs

The Utes have also reportedly secured a talented wideout to help new offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven. Utah State transfer wide receiver Braden Pegan, who had more than 900 receiving yards last year under McGiven, is set to join the Utes, according to multiple reports.

Later on Wednesday, another significant Utah contributor reportedly entered the transfer portal. Defensive tackle Jonah Lea’ea is the latest Ute to put his name in the portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Lea’ea started all 12 games for Utah and played 623 snaps. He totaled 34 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
