It's wild ricing season in Minnesota, so today we share the first of three videos demonstrating key steps in traditional wild rice processing. Today's video is about wild rice parching, which dries out the wild rice kernel and causes the outer husk to crack slightly. Parching over a wood fire is tricky, but enhances the flavor of the rice.
